New Exhibit: Construction at Bates, 1900-1999
As we watch the new buildings rising across the street at 55 and 65 Campus Avenue, we are reminded of the countless construction projects Bates has undertaken as the college has steadily expanded over the past 160 years.
The exhibit case outside the offices of Special Collections now houses selected photographs documenting some of those projects, from Garcelon Field and Rand Hall to Petengill Hall and Lake Andrews. For more information you can visit our webpage all about the history of Bates buildings.
