- Ratification of Minutes
- As the RA reviewed the guidelines, questions arose regarding the recent changes to the EJC guidelines, as well as the new process of election being implemented in the coming week. Members expressed their concerns with Allen’s resistance to the new process. One member had a concern regarding the sustainability of the paper ballot election process, and Kiernan voiced his confidence that each ballot would be recycled after noted.
- Last year, less than 30% of the student body voted in the college’s presidential election. Kiernan spoke to his belief that this method of voting would churn out a greater voter turnout.

- ORB (Vice President of Student Clubs Paul-Alexis Fourgous ‘15)
- Her Campus Bates – A month and a half ago, the ORB approved this club, which is about an online magazine available all over the world. The two presidents of the club came to the meeting to present about the club and answer questions. The club runs an online magazine, posting student profiles, news, and other such things that promote community involvement and awareness on campus. Both male and female students can be, and are, contributors. The online magazine was started by Harvard students and has expanded around the country. The club is asking for funding for events, but there is no cost of running the magazine.

- Election Update – To move forward with the upcoming elections, the RA must approve candidates for the VP of Student Committees. The following candidates are in question:
- John Albanese
- Tommy Fitzgerald
- Paul Jordan
- Lydia Merizon
- Mackenzie Nocek
- Jordan Wenik
- Paul Jordan is the only candidate who has served on the Committee of Committees, and did not need to be ratified. Jordan Wenik was able to make it to the meeting.
- Motion to vote on voting on all in one fell swoop: For: 28. Against: 0. Abstaining: 2. Passes.
- Ratification of candidates: For: 28. Against: Abstaining: 2. Ratified.

- President’s Report
- As Alyssa’s points somehow got left out of the RA meeting’s agenda. Motion to amend agenda: For: All. Against: 0. Abstaining: 0. Passes
- Lost Valley – The student government has worked to enable all bates students to ski at Lost Valley for free.
- It’s On Us – The committee is approaching clubs for support and publicity.
- Pass Fail – The committee is on the agenda for the educational policy committee the following day, have resubmitted their proposal to the committee, and all members of the RA are encouraged to attend.
- WDW – Student Government has been granted a spot for WDW, as an opportunity to announce the election results. It will be a great opportunity to increase awareness of student government, and for students to meet the newly appointed positions. Anyone can come, regardless of whether or not you are over 21.
- Alyssa spoke about how thankful she, Tenzin, and Paul have been to serve on Executive Council, and Paul voiced his gratitude as well. He also encouraged the RA to “be a bit more pessimistic on somethings.”
