Campus Life and the BCSG Committee Selection Board are pleased to announce the winter election process for seats on the 2025-26 Bates College Student Government. The positions up for election are:

• Two executive seats, running as a joint ticket (President and Vice President or Co-Presidents)
• Three Class Representative seats for each class year, running individually (2026, 2027, and 2028)

All candidates, including those on an executive seat joint ticket, must submit their own Self-Nomination Form. Self-nominations will be accepted from Monday, March 3 at 1:00am until Thursday, March 13 at 4:00pm ET. 

All candidates are required to attend one of two Candidate Information Meetings. Candidates may not begin campaigning until after attending a meeting. Failure to attend, or send a proxy, will result in disqualification.

The Winter 2025 BCSG Election will take place Tuesday, March 25 to Thursday, March 27 on Bates Engage. Only current first-years, sophomores, and juniors are eligible to vote. Election results will be announced via email by Friday, March 28.
