Hansen Johnson ’13 Wins MBL Associates Award for Research Project
Research project on resource allocation in Cyanobacteria recognized
Biology major Hansen Johnson ’13 was awarded the MBL Associates Award for Excellence in Independent Research in recognition of his outstanding research project during his fall term 2011 in the Marine Biological Laboratory’s Semester in Environmental Science program. Hansen’s project investigated how the Cyanobacterium Anabaena “decides” how to allocate energy for nitrogen fixation under a broad range of nitrogen and phosphorus conditions. Congratulations Hansen!
