The Bates Center for Purposeful Work works closely with alumni who generously support students with their purposeful career exploration. In fact, there are many ways that alumni can help students explore pathways and gain experience in the world of work.
How You Can Help
The Bates Center for Purposeful Work actively maintains an expansive network of alumni who volunteer to share their opportunities and professional guidance with students.
Here are some of the ways that alumni can get involved:
- Post your company’s jobs or internships to our recruiting system, Handshake
- Consider targeted strategies for reaching Bates students with your job and internship opportunities
- Become an employer partner with the Purposeful Work internship program
- Help a student explore professional pathways by hosting a one-day Job Shadow
- Participate in Spotlight panels, Roadshow programs, and other Purposeful Work events
- Attend Bates networking events on campus, or Bates Network events in your city
- Keep your contact information updated on the Bates Online Directory
- List Bates in the education section of your LinkedIn Profile and join Bates LinkedIn groups
