Ancient and Medieval Tales of the Supernatural
Students, staff, and faculty assembled in the gathering dusk on October 29th to listen to tales of ghosts, witches, demons, and werewolves from the medieval world. Fueled with warming chai and hot cider, we heard about St Macarius of Egypt dispelling the illusion that a woman had been turned into a horse, a derelict house in Germany being freed from the spirits of the unruly dead, and an eye-gouging revenant priest from Yorkshire. We finished off by sharing some campus ghost stories so beware those of you who frequent Pettengill and Roger Williams late at night!
