Tom Hayward was a Lecturer Emeritus in Classical and Medieval Studies. His scholarly interests are in Latin poetry, translation studies, and the relationship between the Classics and English literature (particularly the nineteenth century).  He taught all levels of Latin and a course on Ovid’s Metamorphoses and its influence on modern culture.
