The Bates College Geology Class Global Change (GEO 109) taught by Professor Bev Johnson, recorded the location of the swash line at Popham Beach State Park on September 18, 19, and 20, 2007 as part of a laboratory exercise. The findings were further explored, and then presented, in poster form, by Keegan Runnals (’11) at a national meeting in the spring of 2009. Work continued by Mike Retelle and is included in the Bates Coastal Geology Environmental Archive.
