Visualization Lab Open House
Over the summer, the first floor of Coram Library was renovated to accommodate ILS’s newest academic computing center — the Visualization Lab (or Viz Lab). The Viz Lab, which is now fully operational, includes an Extended Reality (XR) Studio in Coram 102, 3D Printing Studios in Coram 103, and new office space for CRC staff.
To introduce you to the new facilities and the staff who support them, ILS is hosting an Open House on Tuesday, October 15, from noon to 1:00. We’ll demonstrate the room-scale tracking technology in the XR lab that allows users to move in virtual 3D space; we’ll share some recent examples of the curricular uses of 3D printing; and we’ll be on hand to consult should you have an interest in exploring virtual or augmented reality in your teaching.
Lunch will be provided (please RSVP to help us with the catering order).
