Greetings, Colleagues,

Welcome back! Now that the semester is underway I will share a weekly (every Sunday evening) round-up of upcoming events. This week, I’d like to  start by welcoming Lindsey Hamilton, the inaugural Director of our Center for Inclusive Teaching and Learning. Please join me in extending a heartfelt welcome to Lindsey as she begins her role at Bates by stopping by Dana Hall to say hello during one of these welcome events. Light refreshments will be served!:

Next, I’d like to draw your attention to the upcoming NCFDD 14 day writing challenge. The challenge is simple: write for at least 30 minutes every day, Monday through Friday, for two weeks. Writing refers to any scholarly activity ranging from the spark of a new idea to a complicated project (article, grant proposal, exhibit, book chapter, op-ed, blog post). The 14-Day Writing Challenge is free to all NCFDD members, including Bates Faculty and Staff Register today!  Registration ends October 12 and the program runs from October 17 – October 30, 2022.

You can also access numerous on-demand resources through the NCFDD. Click here to create an NCFDD login if you don’t already have one.

Here are some on-demand videos you may find interesting.
