Faculty Personnel Committee: This Bates faculty committee reviews faculty and recommends decisions to the President regarding reappointment, tenure, and promotion.

Memoranda of Understanding: Interdisciplinarity is an integral part of the academic experience for faculty and students alike. We value interdisciplinary work at Bates, and as such we seek to support our programs in multiple ways. If they feel it is helpful, a member of the faculty can create a memorandum of understanding that makes visible their contributions to multiple academic units and curricula.
