Dyk’s REALLY enjoying sabbatical, working on two Appalachian projects involving bedrock geology mapping and zircon detrital and crystallization geochronology in Gorham, NH and Bethel, ME. Along with Bates 2018 Geology Alums Kurt Niiler and Thorn Merrill he published this month the bedrock geology map of the Mt. Crescent, NH 7.5′ quadrangle and also with Woody Thompson a layperson’s guide to the geology of Weeks State Park in Lancaster, NH.
