Minor Requirements
The minor in European Studies consists of six courses:
1) Two semesters of college-level instruction in a single modern European language other than English
2) EUS 101, Introduction to Europe
3) Three courses from the list of electives for the European Studies Major with at least two distinct departmental or program designations, of which one course must be an advanced seminar taken at Bates.

Double Majors
Of the six courses required for the minor, four must be distinct from courses taken as fulfilling requirements for other majors or minors.
Study Abroad
Students may count for the minor up to two courses taken as part of a study abroad program, subject to approval by the program chair.
