In the spring of 2009, the college launched an update of the Campus Facility Master Plan (2003-04) which served to guide physical improvements in the future. The Master Plan Update (2010) is a focused effort that was conducted by the college to revisit some of the decisions made in the 2004 Facilities Master Plan and determine how to move forward with the projects originally planned for Phase 2 of that plan.
The Plan extends a vision that respects valued campus qualities and provides future guidance to enhance the unique living/living environments of the College. Phase I of the original Facilities Master Plan has been largely completed. The firms of Harriman, The Cecil Group, and The Stone house Group guided by the College’s Master Planning Steering committee, composed of members of the administration, faculty and trustees conducted the Update. The planning process was organized to be informative and inclusive, providing many opportunities for input from the entire College community.
