Melinda Plastas is visiting associate professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies. Her research interests include race and social movements; gender and militarization; and gender and tobacco capitalism. Her book A Band of Noble Women: Race Politics and the Women’s Peace Movement (2011) was published by Syracuse University Press.
