Dear Colleagues,

As we have gotten into the semester, we have received feedback that the building access hours have not aligned with evening academic activities. To adapt accordingly, academic building access has been extended during the week to 9:30 pm for all faculty, student, and staff keycards (detail by building shown here). To review, we have all Bates buildings on keycard access to appropriately limit facility access to the Bates community during the pandemic, and we have been careful to limit hours and spaces to ensure our ability to focus on our core areas and classrooms as we adjust to, and understand, the implications of the current use of space.

A particular note of thanks to our custodial, DCCE, grounds, campus safety, and other teams that have responded remarkably to the changes the campus has experienced this fall.
