Lewiston Auburn Vaccine Clinic Information
Colleagues –
I write with an update on vaccines. Getting vaccinated is both a personal decision and a community decision. Bates College encourages all employees to get vaccinated.
Central Maine Healthcare is collaborating with the State of Maine, the City of Auburn, the City of Lewiston, and other partners on a COVID-19 vaccination site at the Auburn Mall. This clinic will open tomorrow, Wednesday, March 17 for community members 60 years old or older, and who are current Maine residents. Attached to this e-mail are pre-registration documents for the Lewiston-Auburn Clinic that must be filled out to receive a vaccination; these documents may also be found here. Fact sheets for each vaccine are available here. By filling these documents out prior to arriving at the vaccination clinic, you will help the care providers and speed the distribution of the vaccines.
- To sign-up for an appointment at the Lewiston / Auburn vaccine clinic, go here. Slots are opened as they have capacity. If the site indicates that no spots are available be persistent and continue to check the site. Appointment capacity is generally updated Wednesday at noon.
- Bates will provide up to two hours of paid time off to any employee whose scheduled appointment at any clinic to get a vaccine is during work hours; managers are asked to accommodate employees so that they can be vaccinated and to use the “CVT” code in their timesheets.
- If you have been vaccinated elsewhere or have already worked with your primary care physician to be vaccinated, no action is needed
- Be sure to let your primary care physician know when you are vaccinated so that your records are complete.
As more information is available about local vaccination opportunities I’ll continue to update the campus.
Gratefully,
Geoff
