Gene Clough (in Memoriam)
Gene’s primary geological interest was in planetary geology. His course AT/GE110 Lunar and Planetary Science, he liked to expose his students to the idea that geology can be done on all the planets. He loved to promote technical literacy – helping students dig into all kinds of gadgets to see how they work. He liked to make semiconductor devices, using math and physics to understand the earth, moon, or solar system. Space flight, for example, was a great excuse for studying just about anything!
