When Bates extended its winter break, seven Bates students seized the opportunity to make a difference in the Lewiston-Auburn community by becoming IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers from home and helping low-income families complete their taxes. The Bates Student (newspaper) featured this story in their final issue of the academic year.  We share it in this week’s blog post.
