Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Service
What is OMM?
OMM is a hands-on approach to healthcare that focuses on how the body systems are interconnected. By combining traditional medical practices with musculoskeletal care, physicians trained in OMM work to support the body healing itself naturally.
Applying a series of hands on techniques, the doctor can evaluate the body and assist in correcting structural, lymphatic, or circulatory problems. Treatment is most often applied to muscles and joints to improve circulation of blood, lymph, and nerve supply while focusing on breath work and respiratory support.
Typically, the process takes 10-20 minutes.
