Information about the 2024-2025 Wellfleet Insurance Plan

Hello Student,
Please note that you have a new Wellfleet ID card for the 24/25 plan year.
Our records indicate that you are enrolled in the Wellfleet True Choice Health Insurance Plan with
Bates College. We have a few highlights on how to get the most out of the True Choice Health
Insurance Plan.
First, login into your student portal account through the Wellfleet Student Mobile app, available
through the app Store.
Download your 24/25 Wellfleet ID card and save on your mobile device. It contains different
information from previous years.
Whenever you visit a medical provider, mental health provider, or pick up a prescription share
your 24/25 Wellfleet ID Card with the provider. It contains important information about
your benefits, including new claim submission information.
You may see any provider of your choice:
If the provider you want to see will not see you because they will not bill Wellfleet, you
can either pay the bill directly and file a claim with Wellfleet through the Wellfleet
Student mobile app.
o Or contact Wellfleet Customer Service to help facilitate relations with the provider.
Should you receive a bill for the entire amount of the service, you may file a claim with
Wellfleet through the student portal or through the Wellfleet Student mobile app.
Once Wellfleet receives a health claim and processes for payment you will receive an
Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
Should you receive a balance bill for an amount over what is listed as patient responsibility on
the EOB, you can digitally submit the balance bill, along with any supporting documentation, by
logging into the student portal or on the Wellfleet Student App.
o Wellfleet Student will work with Advanced Medical Pricing Solutions (AMPS) and your
healthcare provider to review the balance bill. You may receive communication from
(AMPS). You can view updates on the Wellfleet Student mobile app.
As a reminder, if you receive a balance bill, do not pay it, but rather submit your bill to Wellfleet
Student.
