Zotero for Citations and Research

Ladd Library is pleased to announce our fall workshops for Zotero citation and research software!

Zotero is a powerful tool to help you organize your research, share citations for a group project, create bibliographies in MS Word or Google Docs, and make your life simpler!

Key features:

  1. Zotero helps you create citations and bibliographies and insert them into Google Docs or MS Word.
  2. Zotero has the capability of building citations in more than 10,000 different styles, including APA, Chicago (Footnote and Author/Date), MLA, and styles specific to a discipline or journal.
  3. Zotero allows you to share a bibliographic library with members of a research group; with your professor; even with people on study abroad or at other institutions!
  4. Zotero can capture an entire web page as a pdf, storing it with other articles, books, and media in your library. Plus its citation builder will allow you to easily cite the page in your notes and bibliographies.
  5. Zotero is FREE! It is Open Source, which means that the work that you do at Bates is yours to keep forever. No hoops to jump through when you graduate. It’s yours.
