Next Reunion in 2004. Got news? Tap out a note to magazine@bates.edu! Bradford Ellis is now chair of the Department of Modern and Classical Languages at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich. He earned his Ph.D. in Spanish from Wisconsin, and in September 2000 he and his wife (Diane Jean Mulroney) directed 18 Aquinas College students for a semester-long study abroad program run. “In addition to studying and living on the Mediterranean in Malaga, we also made trips with the students to Granada, Seville, and Madrid. This was the first year our college has had this program, but it was a great success.”… John Fingado was promoted to president and chief operating officer of Dynamic Healthcare Technologies…. In Hong Kong, Bates admissions reps met with Amy Halverson and husband Philip “MJ” Culhane, lawyers for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett…. Mark Lunt is now with the State Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 760 in Connecticut as an organizer/staff representative. Several years ago, he co-founded Seattle’s Young Adult Independent Living Project, living with six formerly homeless youths in an innovative, democratically run transition housing arrangement.
