Sherry Akers works part time as an outpatient clinical social worker/psychotherapist in a private practice she owns with two other therapists. Jerry Cummings works for Lexign in Nashua, N.H. They live on a mini farm with three horses, a big mutt dog, two cats, and four guinea hens. Daughter Emily (13) is active in 4-H and Pony Club, as is son Robby (8), who also plays soccer. Doug (10) plays indoor soccer and lacrosse…. Alan Constantian and his family have moved back to the Washington, D.C., area after two years in Texas. They’re looking forward to rejoining the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, hiking, and using the great bike paths of the region again…. Chase Curtis has joined iStar Financial as chief credit officer, after 16 years with Bank of America. He’s moved three doors down from his former spouse, and the family, including Emily (9) and George (6), is doing well. “Who said change was bad?” he asks…. Jane Cynewski Elkin spent three weeks in the summer in France on a fellowship from the American Assn. of Teachers of French. She studied interdisciplinary teaching and the role of music in Basque society…. In September, Susan Dolimer was recognized by the Assn. for Healthcare Philanthropy as a fellow of the organization, the highest level of achievement in the field of health care philanthropy. The fellowship recognizes individual professional distinction. Susan is the associate vice president for development at Maine Medical Center in Portland and a Trustee of the College…. Rob and Judy Dolan Jobrack live in Fredericksburg, Va., with their four boys. Rob works for a defense contractor supporting the Navy and Judy is a busy elementary school teacher, Cub Scout den leader, and PTA president. They recently celebrated the bar mitzvah of their oldest son, Benjamin, and are busy building a new home. “Life is extremely normal, although busy with soccer, piano, baseball, school functions, etc.,” they say. “We’re absolutely positive we’re the only ones going through this type of lifestyle!”… Dave Donelan and Alison live in Newton, Mass., and have two “wild and crazy boys (5 and 7) who really keep us on our toes.” Dave works at EMC Corp., an enterprise data storage company based in Hopkinton, Mass., where he is the director of industry and applications marketing. In his spare time, he takes piano lessons, as does his older son. He says his son is progressing at a much faster rate than he is. “Both of my boys are showing a strong interest in rocks, which makes this former geologist very happy.”… Walter Hoerman was elected mayor of Rochester, N.H., last fall. He makes sure he is busy with that part-time job as well as his pediatric practice. Mary Ellen, Walter, and their three teen-age children try to escape to the White Mountains to hike as much as possible…. Joe Howley loves the Northwest but misses New England. He still works at Nike, now in the innovation “kitchen,” hoping to think up the next big thing. He has three children: Sean (13), Kirstin (9), and Samantha (5). “Hope to show my kids around Bates someday soon,” he says…. Kristina Knapp Schwarz lives in rural southwest Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her husband Ron and daughter Emilie (8). Son Daniel Corn (18), whose father is Joe Corn ’80, graduated from his mother’s alma mater, Northfield Mount Hermon School in June. They thoroughly enjoy their rural lifestyle, including their herd of goats…. Minoo Malek Saghri works from home in Weston, Conn., for Hyperion Solutions as a consulting resource manager, splitting her time between activities with her twins and work. The twins entered kindergarten this fall…. Jean Monahan adopted a daughter, Lilah Violet, on May 27, 2001. She is now 21 months and an absolute joy. Jean and her mother flew to Phnom Penh last May to get her…. Lizette Panet-Raymond Greaves is working towards Massachusetts teacher’s certification, teaching ESL students in social studies…. Brian Pohli works for Credit Suisse First Boston in Hong Kong. Partner Carla and their four-year-old son Christian are there with him…. Joseph Richerts Jr. is a cardiologist in Philadelphia. Diane Fredericks Richerts keeps busy shuttling three kids (16, 13, and 8) “to and fro. One of these days, we hope to get the kids to Lewiston for a visit,” they say…. Jason Sparkowski works in biotechnology in West Hartford, Conn. Wife Lisa had to be dragged there from Washington, D.C., but is now convinced there can be a life outside the Beltway for a federal prosecutor…. Jean Wilson continues to co-lead the information services department at L.L. Bean. Her stepdaughter is Alison Roberts ’05….
