Art comes to Hathorn Hall for the Short Term
Edited by H. Jay Burns and Doug Hubley
Mixing colors for a mural on a Hathorn Hall landing are Mariah Pfeiffer ’07 (left) and Angela Knox ’05.
They and 10 others in the Short Term unit “Muralismo: movimientos en práctica” studied the history, politics, and aesthetics of mural art.
San Francisco-based muralist Marta Ayala guided Assistant Professor of Spanish Felicia Fahey and the students in creating “Lo que el viento se llevo” (“What the wind carried with it”), a sweeping commentary on nature, the city, and the human condition.
