Maria Barile has finished her second year at UConn Medical School and won a Howard Hughes Research Scholars fellowship to conduct research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. She will return to UConn next summer to finish her degree…. Molly McMahon is in the graduate social work program at USM…. Leslie Broch lives in San Diego, where she teaches pre-kindergarten at a progressive school in La Jolla. She is getting married next summer…. Michael ’00 and Deborah Birdseye Comer are in Senegal, West Africa, as Peace Corps volunteers. They live in Sinthiang Dure, a small village in the south of Senegal, where Deborah works with the Senegalese to recognize, prevent, and treat diseases and Michael helps business owners with accounting and management skills…. Pete and Suzanne Camou Linkroum live in Virginia, where Suzanne is working towards her Ph.D…. Megan Casey is an event planner at Harvard Medical School. She volunteers with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and at Mass. General Hospital. She ran the 2002 New York marathon and competes in half-marathons around New England. She lives with John McGrath ’00…. Jennifer Coleman has moved across the river from Somerville to Brookline, Mass., and now manages the primary care staff at Boston Medical Center. She’s planning an October 2004 wedding in Boothbay Harbor. She plays coed touch football with her fiancé and Elizabeth Sandman…. Julie DeLaite is the director of volunteer services at Spring Harbor Hospital, an inpatient psychiatric hospital in South Portland…. Olga Demin Lambert and husband Phil have moved to Cambridge, Mass., where she is starting a doctoral program at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education…. Now that his three-week safari in Africa is over, William DePaolo is concentrating on his upcoming graduation from Northwestern Medical School with a Ph.D. in immunology and infectious disease. He has published articles on mucosal vaccines for autoimmune disorders and has recently become involved in studying immune responses to bioterrorism agents…. Cameron Donaldson is a third-year student at Tufts Univ. School of Medicine. He loves his new apartment in the South End and manages to get out and enjoy Boston on his precious few free weekends…. Liza Eckblom Ringuette works at Hartford Financial and lives in Enfield, Conn., where she and husband Jim expect a child in February…. Hannah English is a caseworker for medically fragile children in foster care in New York City. She recently started an M.S.W. program at NYU…. A’Llyn Ettien says her life is “booooooring. Good but boring.” She works for the Unitarian Universalist Assn. in Boston. “No new job, no kids, no exotic travels, no artistic accomplishments.” She promises to run for office someday, just to have something worth talking about…. Christina Favretto has plans for next year: “a) find a job hopefully as a criminal prosecutor and b) pass the bar in July!” She’s in her third year of law school at Catholic Univ. She enjoyed getting together with Alana Watkins, Kate Haesche ’00, Matt Velluto, and Megan Casey at Liz Wilson’s wedding in August…. Addie Fletcher is starting her first year of a direct-entry master’s nursing program at Boston College, specializing in psychiatric nursing, after working for the past four years at Mass. General Hospital in the psychiatry department…. Becki Gasior is in her second year of graduate school at Brown, studying medical and environmental sociology…. Take a closer look at your medicine cabinet — you might see the work of Laura Kanniard, who works as a key account manager in technical sales for Rexam, a consumer packaging company. She manages projects within the beauty and pharmaceutical industries, integrating pumps, valves, and closures into products such as Olay’s Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum and Enhancing Lotion and STILA’s Creme Bouquet. She’s added tennis and acting to her list of interests. She spent some time this summer with Roxanne Gillespie…. Amy Keith moved to Baku, Azerbaijan, last year, where she works for the International Rescue Committee as its grants and information manager…. Amy McInnis works for Population Services International, a public health social marketing organization, in Yangon, Myanmar…. Brad Morse finished his master’s in hydrogeology, moved to San Francisco, and is working as a carpenter…. John Nesbitt was recently named director of communications at Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. Dave Chamberlain ’98 is a math teacher there…. Shawn O’Leary received a master’s in public policy with honors from the Univ. of Chicago and is now an economic consultant with HVS International’s public facilities division. He provides economic impact reports and feasibility studies for public and private projects ranging from theme parks to convention centers. His wife, Louanne Carabini ’01, is in her third year of medical school…. Chris Orpilla has finally made it to California. He lives in Marina del Rey and works as an acquisitions manager for the First Allied Corporation in their L.A. office…. Katherine Osborne Munno works for a start-up environmental consulting company, Advantage Environmental, in Jessup, Md. She and husband David Munno recently bought a house in Silver Spring, Md…. Joanie Reddick and her sister, Annie Reddick ’02 live in San Francisco…. Christopher Rhodes left the U.S. at the end of March 2002 to join the Peace Corps in the Republic of Georgia. He teaches English in an elementary school in Rustavi, an industrial city where all of the factories are closed. He uses 20-year-old textbooks and has no heating or electricity in his classroom. The food is amazing, he says, and everything is washed down with homemade vodka. He’s learning to speak Georgian and likes the reward of seeing kids learning English, as well as sharing teaching methods with the Georgian teachers…. Josh Rosenblum is the emergency medical services director at Stratton Mountain Resort. He skis 120 days a year. He also works as a special officer for the Winhall police and recreation departments…. Maeve Ryan works for Vista Higher Learning, a Spanish publishing company in Boston. She received a master’s in Spanish from Middlebury this past summer…. Newly married Becky Skarbek Roberts teaches middle school French and English at St. Anne’s Episcopal School in Denver….
