Youngest Siegler, Riley (3), has started pre-school; Jesse (10) and Dylan (10) are in middle school. Husband Ben wrote a movie that is scheduled to begin shooting in March.”… Eliza Richards writes: “I’ve switched jobs, and am now an assistant professor at UNC-Chapel Hill. My book, Gender and the Poetics of Reception in Poe’s Circle, is finally out (Cambridge University Press, 2004).” Eliza’s book takes a new look at Poe, frequently portrayed as an isolated, idiosyncratic genius unwilling or unable to adapt himself to the cultural conditions of his time. Eliza revises this portrayal through an exploration of his collaborations and rivalries with his female contemporaries….
