Debra Graves Warner ’71
Debra Graves Warner passed away on Sept. 20, 2022 after a brief illness. Debi maintained an active lifelong connection with Bates. She and Mark were married in the Bates Chapel and raised their family in Auburn. Debi began her career as a librarian while a student at Bates and volunteered as a Purposeful Work career adviser and intern host. She was also a member of the College Key. Debi and Mark were active in Reunion planning and attended the 50th Reunion in June 2022. Debi genuinely valued every friendship and could always be counted on to be concise and honest when asked for her opinion. Her energy and pure spunk were contagious. Debi’s hobbies included bird watching, environmental volunteering, and quilting for donation to local charities and military veterans. Debi and Mark spent their retirement traveling the 50 states, visiting national parks and work camping. Debi is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mark; two children; and six grandchildren. — Jan Face Glassman ’71
