About
Dr. Martin Montgomery earned a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon in 2006. His research is in the field of non-commutative algebra, with a focus on classifying algebraic structures. He enjoys teaching math courses at all levels, and really loves watching mathematics be a vehicle for the personal growth of his students. Dr. Montgomery is especially proud of his Math 206 (Multivariable Calculus) students who use his Inquiry-Based Learning book to create their own, deep mathematical connections. When possible, Dr. Montgomery is joined in the classroom by a lovable white golden retriever named Bailey.
