Sara Chari
Sara Chari is originally from Newton, Massachusetts. She graduated from Bates College in 2014 and received her Ph.D. in mathematics from Dartmouth College in June 2019. Her research is mainly in noncommutative algebra and number theory. In particular, she studies integral objects called orders in central simple algebras. She returned to Bates in 2019 as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics, and she enjoys working with students and is focused on discovering new methods to incorporate active learning and group activities into her courses.
