Jena Juszko (Hungarian, 1880-1954)
Juszko was a metal sculptor who created busts and plaques. His work included likenesses of Eugene V. Debs, Marshal Ferdinand Foch, General John J. Pershing and General George Henry Thomas. He became a WPA artist and was on the committee for the Grant Monument Association, whose members placed the busts in the crypt of Grant’s Tomb. He also undertook a painted plaster portrait bust of Theodore Roosevelt.
