Louise Zelda Young (American, n.d.)
During the final years of his life, the artist Marsden Hartley spent his winters living with Katie and Forest Young in the small fishing village of Corea, Maine. Louise, one of Katie and Forest’s teenage children, was interested in becoming a photographer and took many photos of Hartley, the Young family, and Corea. One of the Hartley portraits seen in the show is hers, capturing the artist amidst the rocks of the Maine coast.
