Gifts of Art
The museum strengthens the collection by adding art/objects of noted artists connected to Maine, historic, modern, and contemporary art by artists from around the world, and objects from other cultures. Since most objects enter the collection as gifts, we greatly depend on the generosity of others. We thank you in advance for considering the museum as the location for gifts of your valued objects!

As stewards of the Marsden Hartley Memorial Collection, the museum continues to add art and objects to this important resource. This includes artwork by Hartley, papers, photographs, and ephemera related to this noted Lewiston born artist.
