Presented By: The Bates Department of Music: The Bates College Choir is the official vocal ensemble of the Department of Music, consisting of 40-auditioned Batesies, under the direction of Dr. Zen Kuriyama, Assistant Professor of Music. The group will present their 2025 Spring Concert, “Earth Song.” Featuring works by Frank Ticheli, Libby Larsen, David Dickau, Stephen Sondheim, and several others, all the pieces in this concert highlight the earth, nature, and her sights and sounds. Several works also offer commentary on the injustices done to our earth by action/inaction and a hope for a better future.
