Presented by: The Bates Department of Music: Lutenist Hideki Yamaya will present a program featuring some of the greatest Italian lute music from the 16th- through 18th-centuries. Composers represented include Joan Ambrosio Dalza, Francesco da Milano, Alessandro Piccinini, and Giovanni Zamboni. He will play on Renaissance lute and archlute.
