Mt David Summit
Each year at the end of March, Bates devotes a day to honor undergraduate research achievements. This festive celebration, known as Mt. David Summit, is a time when the entire campus comes together for intellectual exchange within and across disciplines. The Neuroscience Program is strongly featured at Mt. David, with student researchers showcasing their work in either poster format or as oral presentations during faculty-moderated neuroscience symposia. With an eager audience of faculty, staff, fellow students, family members, friends, and community members, Mt. David is an opportunity for our majors to hone their oral communication skills, serving as a rewarding end-point to a rigorous research process at Bates and, in many cases, a launching point for additional presentations at national scientific conferences.
