Noonday concerts series continues spring season
The Bates College Noonday Concert series continues its spring season with a selection of programs throughout April. The free concerts, open to the public, will be held from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the college’s Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St.
April 1: Alicia Weisser, a Bates first-year student from South Windsor, Conn., will perform a program of music for cello.
April 6: Soprano Christina Astrachan and pianist Frank Glazer, artist- in-residence at Bates, will perform songs of Richard Strauss and Hugo Wolf.
April 8: Bates cello instructor Kathleen Foster and students from the Merriconeag School in Brunswick will perform.
April 20: No concert is scheduled as the college is in recess.
April 27: Mike Richard, a Bates junior from Hooksett, N.H., will perform a program of music for guitar.
