William E. Little Jr. appointed to Board of Overseers
William E. Little Jr. of New York City has been appointed to the board of overseers by trustees of Bates College, President Donald W. Harward has announced.
Little, parent of Bates College senior Christopher Little, is chairman of George Little Management, LLC, a large producer of trade shows for consumer goods in the United States. Little’s grandfather founded the company in 1924, and Little joined the firm in 1968 after serving four years in the U.S. Navy. Little earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University in 1963.
Little also is chairman of The Lakeville Journal Company, LLC, which publishes weekly newspapers in Lakeville and Winsted, Conn., and Millerton, N.Y. Little and his wife, Helen Yuet-yee Chiu Little, are members of the New York Bates College Council.
The Bates College Board of Trustees includes the board of fellows, whose members serve lifetime terms, and the board of overseers, whose members serve five-year terms.
