Singer-songwriter Jenn Adams performs at Midsummer Lakeside Concert series
Eclectic singer-songwriter Jenn Adams offers a Midsummer Lakeside Concert at Bates College at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 26, in the Florence Keigwin Amphitheater on the leafy banks of Lake Andrews, near the Olin Arts Center at 75 Russell St.
Sponsored by the Bingham Betterment Fund, the Garcelon Society and Bates’ Information and Library Services division, these family concerts are open to the public at no cost. Listeners are encouraged to bring a picnic and lawn chairs or blankets.
Presenting favorite sounds from near and far, the series continues with two more concerts at 6 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 2 and 9. The rain site is the College Chapel, 275 College St. For more information about the series, please call 207-786-6400.
Artfully combining jazz, folk and blues, Adams is a singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist who has toured Europe and the United States. Along with intimate gigs in coffeehouses and listening rooms, Adams has performed at such popular gatherings as the Kerrville, Falcon Ridge and Rocky Mountain folk festivals and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. A recent graduate of the Berklee College of Music, she performs in the Northwest and New England.
