‘Together we harness the power of questions’ — Senior Address

Shannon Griffin ’16, a Chinese and psychology major from Philadelphia, gave this year’s Senior Address at Commencement and offered hopeful words about the value and power of a Bates education:

Together we harness the power of questions; we ask questions that lead to creative problem solving, shift perspectives, create conversation, build leadership, establish empathy and catalyze action…. Thank you, Bates for a wholesome education where we do not fear tomorrow or our greatness, but strive to delve into it with heartfelt participation.
