From traditions that turned 50 years old this month to a dorm room that’s been home to a student for just five months, these four reels capture the all-embracing energy of Bates. To wit:

• Puddle Jump Turns 50! — Students (and the alumni who started it all) take the plunge into frozen Lake Andrews for the 50th anniversary of this bold Bates tradition.
• Campus Cribs: Inside a Bates Residence — Get a real look at student living as Campbell Johnson ’28 of Naples, Maine, visits Henry Hood ’28 of Hinsdale, N.H., for a tour of his Page Hall double.
• Math Night at the PLC — Peer tutors turn numbers into knowledge, helping fellow Bobcats tackle calculus and more during Math Theme Night at the Peer Learning Commons in Ladd Library.
• A Celebration of Culture Through Dance — The annual Cultural Performance Showcase lights up Schaeffer Theatre celebrating our incredibly talented students from around the world.
