Marriage fight looms
The Morning Sentinel reports that political strategist Jesse Connolly ’03 will run the campaign to fight the potential people’s veto of Maine’s same-sex marriage law, passed the Legislature in May. Connolly, who will head the Maine Freedom to Marry PAC, tells the paper that “we need to show folks that the Legislature and the governor passed this law and signed this law. And the Legislature and the governor heard from tens of thousands of Maine citizens that understood what marriage equality meant for them.” (View Text)
