The Palm Beach Post offers a Q-and-A interview with Joan Bering Kennedy ’88, new president of Liberty Medical Supply, a billion-dollar business providing diabetes testing supplies (and well-known for ads featuring actor Wilford Brimley). Kennedy alludes to her Bates experience when asked to name the best business book she’s read. “In college, I read a research piece on how men and women work differently. I think women should capitalize on how we work differently,” she tells reporter Laura Hampson. Kennedy also shares the best business advice she’s gotten: “Always think about the customer. Be humble.
