Video: On Reunion Weekend, a look at Schaeffer Theater at age 50
With Reunion Weekend upon us, which includes a Saturday gathering to mark the performance of the first play in Schaeffer Theatre 50 years ago (Moliere’s Tartuffe), here’s a video, produced by Joshua Ajamu ’14, featuring Martin Andrucki, the Charles A. Dana Professor of Theater.
Andrucki discusses Schaeffer’s present and past, including a nod of gratitude to the building’s namesake, the late Bates theater professor Lavinia Schaeffer. “She had the drive and energy to push the College into building this theater,” Andrucki says.
