Bates College held its 148th Commencement on Sunday, May 25, on the Historic Quad.
The college conferred honorary degrees on four leaders in the realms of journalism, computer science, business and the arts. The ceremony concluded with the graduation of 448 seniors, each of whom received a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree.
