Slideshow: Action, faces, and joy of the women’s NCAA team rowing championship
The Bates women’s rowing team claimed the first NCAA team championship in college history on May 30, edging defending champion Trinity College by one point.
It was big news on both sides of the country. During the Baccalaureate Service back on campus, senior Cody Tracey announced the championships to a huge cheer, right before he and his fellow Senior A Cappella singers performed Phillip Phillips’ “Gone, Gone, Gone.”
Check out the Bates Athletics website for in-depth coverage of the dramatic, one-point victory and take a look at this slideshow featuring highlights of both days.
