Ti' Acadie, a lively Maine trio focusing on the Francophone folk music of Louisiana and Atlantic Canada, performs this week's installment of the 2009 Bates College Midsummer Lakeside Concert Series at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 23, in the Florence Keigwin Amphitheater at the college's Lake Andrews.

The Lewiston-Auburn jazz band Three Point Trio opens the 2009 Bates College Midsummer Lakeside Concert Series on July 9. The series also presents singer-songwriter Carolyn Currie, the folk trio Ti' Acadie, the One World Music Ensemble and Réveillons!, known for its modern take on Québécois music.
Scrod Pudding performs benefit contradance at Bates

Scrod Pudding, a group of local musicians who play traditional New England, French-Canadian and Appalachian music, will perform a contradance with caller Bill Olsonfrom 8 p.m. to midnight, Friday, Nov. 7, in Chase Hal, 56 Campus Ave. Admission is $5 at the door and proceeds will benefit the AIDS Coalition of Lewiston-Auburn.
