Fundraisers keep a close eye on financial markets' movements

Among the experts quoted by The Chronicle of Higher Education in its story about philanthropy and the financial crisis, Vice President for College Advancement Kelly Kerner came first. He told the Chronicle that fundraising veterans have a long-term focus. "It can't just be about the moment. It's about the horizon, and you have to meet donors where they are," he said.
