Outdoor Program Managers

Owen Gammill (he/him) – Outdoor Programs Manager
Heya! I hail from a small Island in the Northwest corner of Washington State. I am super passionate about all things outdoors, from local food systems, agriculture, cooking, and forestry to kayaking, hiking, skiing, and anything else that’ll get me to amazing places. I am super interested in what all our backyards have to offer and believe there is value in finding adventures wherever you are — luckily, in Maine, that is pretty easy, and I’m stoked I get to explore this incredible state for my time at Bates.

At Bates, I am a double major in politics and environmental studies, a W-CAT, and I’m in the Sonja Pieck and Steve Engel fan clubs. I am also involved in all things music-oriented, such as the BMU and WRBC, and I play music too much. I am also an AESOP leader, BOC trip leader, and now OPM. I’m stoked about the opportunity to be OPM and hope to create opportunities for community and adventure. The Outing Club is one of the most historically rich and awesome parts of Bates, and my continuous goal is to make it more accessible and more community and “fun” oriented. See you out there!

Lili Missbrenner (she/her) – Outdoor Programs Manager

Hear ye hear ye all Bobcats! My name is Lili Missbrenner and I am a junior from Rockland County, NY. I am an Environmental Studies major and Gender and Sexuality Studies minor who spends a whole lot of time in the great outdoors with a jar of pickles in hand. I have a dog named Michael and my favorite colors are camo and safety orange. I can often be found stockpiling sour cream streusel muffins in Commons, skiing in my favorite pair of jorts, or hanging out with my dear friend, and incredible co-OPM, Owen Gammill as he plays his banjo. I am absolutely pumped to adventure with you all through the yearl
