Students have just received an update about extending the COVID-19 testing schedule. Please encourage them to read this information carefully so they are prepared next week to sign up for additional testing slots.

As you are well aware, the Delta variant continues to affect vaccinated individuals. We see the effect in the case numbers for Lewiston and across Maine and in the adjusted fall plans at a number of our NESCAC peers. Against this backdrop, and following a meeting this week with our consulting experts at the Mayo Clinic, the college will communicate a decision by the end of the day on Friday, Sept. 10 about whether we can responsibly host Back to Bates: Family Day.
